Our Earth
1. What is the earth ?
Ans: The earth is a planet.
2. What is its shape?
Ans: Its shape is round like an orange.
3. Does the earth move?
Ans:Yes, the earth moves.
4. How does earth move ?
Ans: Earth moves in two ways. 
* Firstly it spins on its axis like a top and completes its round in twenty four hours. 
* Secondly it circles around the sun in three hundred and sixty five days.
5. What are the natural things available on the earth ?
Ans: There are land, water, mountains, rivers, plants, air on the earth.
6. What is the proportion of land and water on the earth ?
Ans: The entire earth is covered with 3/4th of water and 1/4th of land.
7. What is a continent ?
Ans: It is a natural division of land area of the earth?
8. How many continents are there on the earth?
Ans: There are seven continents on this earth.
9. Can you tell me continents names ?
Ans: Yes They are Africa, Asia, Antartica, Australia, Europe, North America and South America.
10. What is an ocean?
Ans: It is a natural division of vast area of water on the earth
II. How many oceans are there on the earth and what are they
Ans: There are five oceans on this earth. They are Pacific ocean, Atlantic ocean, Indian ocean, Antartic ocean and Artic ocean
12. What is around the earth?
Ans: There is air around the earth.
13. What is a lake?
Ans: A large area of water surrounded by land is called a lake.
14. What is an island ?
Ans: The area of land surrounded by water from all sides is called an island.
15. What is a desert ?
Ans: A vast area of land covered with sand is called desert.
16. What is a plateau ?
Ans: It is highland with uneven surface.

लिंग / वाक्य-प्रयोग द्वारा लिंग-निर्णय

लिंग - जिस शब्द से पुरुष जाति या स्त्री जाति का बोध हो, उसे लिंग कहते हैं। (हिंदी में सजीव के अलावा निर्जीव और भाव को भी पुरुष जाति अथवा स्त्री जाति में रखा गया है) लिंग के भेद-  हिंदी में लिंग के दो भेद हैं। 1. पुलिंग - जिस शब्द से पुरुष जाति का बोध हो, उसे पुलिंग कहते हैं। जैसे:- सजीव - श्याम, पिता, ऊंट, हाथी, बैल  इत्यादि। निर्जीव - नेत्र, तारा, ऊख, पवन, पैर, शरीर इत्यादि। भाव - प्रातः, बुढ़ापा, बचपन, अपनत्व इत्यादि। 2. स्त्रीलिंग - जिस शब्द से स्त्री जाति का बोध हो उसे स्त्रीलिंग कहते हैं। जैसे:- सजीव - राधा, गोरी, गाय, माता, घोड़ी इत्यादि। निर्जीव - इमारत, केस, पुस्तक, पेन इत्यादि। भाव - खटास, मिठास, ईमानदारी, सांस इत्यादि। लिंग निर्णय:- लिंग निर्णय में वाक्य छोटे एवं सरल रखें। ऐसा वाक्य न बनाएं, जिससे लिंग निर्णय स्पष्ट ना हो।    यह एक विद्यालय है। यह एक गाय है। उपर्युक्त वाक्य सभी शुद्ध हैं, लेकिन लिंग निर्णय की दृष्टि से अशुद्ध हैं। क्योंकि वाक्य से विद्यालय / गाय पुलिंग है या स्त्रीलिंग स्पष्ट नहीं हो रहा है। * वाक्य प्रयोग द्वारा लिंग निर्णय ...
